Original Item: Only One Available. This is a charming, probably British, 18th century snuff box measuring 3.25” x 1.75” hinged lid. It is made from some dense grain tropical wood with a rich dark brown color, perhaps teak. The lid is inlaid with a silver anchor. Beautifully hand worn finish, a really nice example of what almost every Naval Officer carried at the time.

Totally original and most engaging. Purchased as part of a large Royal Navy collection.
